« Après 4 années de collaboration, Anthony Galinier a annoncé qu’il quitterait le Paris Brass Band en fin d’année pour explorer de nouveaux horizons prometteurs.

Parmi les opportunités qui s’ouvrent à lui à l’aube de 2016, il débutera la préparation de son deuxième album solo qu’il enregistra au Royaume-Uni avec Foden’s. ll deviendra ainsi le premier Saxhorn soliste français à enregistrer un album tout entier avec l’un des plus grands Brass Bands au monde. Anthony a également fait appel à World of Brass, la plus emblématique maison de production pour les brass bands, pour l’enregistrement du CD qui sortira courant 2016.

Anthony a commenté l’événement en ces termes : « Je suis impatient de me rendre en Angleterre pour travailler avec le Foden’s que j’ai rencontré pour la première fois en 2014 alors que j’avais été convié à prendre part à leur concours soliste annuel. Le nouvel album comportera de nombreuses compositions originales de grands artistes, notamment une nouvelle œuvre de Dr Meechan à laquelle participeront également Mark Wilkinson et Dave Thornton. En parallèle de ce projet, vous pourrez également me retrouver lors de concerts, master class, récitals et je poursuivrai mon travail parmi les artistes Besson.

Mark Wilkinson, représentant le Foden’s, a déclaré : « Le Foden’s est ravi de collaboraber avec Anthony sur ce nouvel album. Anthony est considéré comme l’un des plus grands joueurs de saxhorn après le succès de son premier album solo et sa collaboration avec le fantastique Paris Brass Band qui a exercé une telle influence ces dernières années sur l’avancée du mouvement des brass bands. »

 

After a 4 year association Anthony Galinier has announced that he will be leaving Paris Brass Band at the end of this year to explore a number of exciting projects.

One of these projects with be to commence work on his second solo album which he will record in 2016 with Foden’s. Anthony will be the first French Tenor Horn Soloist to record a full cd with one of the world’s leading brass bands. Anthony has also enlisted the help of the award winning World of Brass to record the cd which will be released later in 2016.

Speaking about the forthcoming project Anthony commented ‘I am looking forward to travelling to England to work with the Foden’s Band who I first met in 2014 when I was asked to adjudicate their annual Solo Contest. The cd will feature a number of exciting new compositions from leading composers including a new work from Dr Meechan which will also feature Mark Wilkinson and Dave Thornton. As well as recording the cd I am also looking forward to a number of solo engagements, master classes, recitals as well as continuing my work as a Besson artist’

Speaking on behalf of Foden’s Mark Wilkinson commented ‘Foden’s are looking forward to working with Anthony on the forthcoming recording project. Anthony is highly regarded as one of the leading Tenor Horn players due to the success and reviews of his first solo recording as well as his work with the fantastic Paris Brass Band who have made such an impact in recent years on the brass band movement’
